I just did a super quick post on my Australia/YWAM trip blog, with quick, brief details about everything. I'm working on posts that will allow for more detail and background, but I wanted to get something up for everyone to read!
I seriously am having a hard time believing that all this is really happening/going to happen. There's still so much to do, and I know that I will have to really trust God, as well as family and friends, to provide.
This is all such a huge answer to prayers that I didn't even feel were coherent... and I am so grateful for all the friends and family that I have prayed with me, supported me... and have just been there for me over the past year or so...

I love my Sundays... I usually wake up to a quiet house and after a slow start, get some things done around the house, grocery shop, cook... and then hang out with the Apex high school students in the evening...

Lately I've been listening to deep, rich, and colorful sounding albums. Music that is fitting to these last weeks of a dreary, long winter... with a hint of a wonderful, lush spring....
Bootstraps/Bootstraps
Anyone else watch the show Parenthood? I'm obsessed... I knew I'd love the show when in the first 5 minutes of the pilot episode they featured the Avett Brothers.
Musically, the show has yet to disappoint. The only time I ever really pull out the Shazaam app on my phone is when watching the show....
All that to say, that is how I discovered Bootstraps. A touch James Vincent McMorrow and Ray Lamontagne...
Sea Wolf/Old World Romance
I forget when and where I first came across Sea Wolf... probably trolling the internet for music at work. (its my job!) I've thoroughly enjoyed this album... perfect for driving on the highway on my morning commute...
Lord Huron/Lonesome Dreams
I was just listening to this album this morning and thinking how I needed to recommend it to a few of my music nerd friends... but I decided to post about it here instead. Give it a listen.
The Lighthouse and the Whaler/This Is an Adventure
Dreamy, upbeat, fun...

I've seen a lot of pretty things in black and white with a geometric cross pattern lately... and a while back I came across this pretty dress that Savannah of
Maiedae posted and fell in love...
I realized I had a similar black dress in my giveaway pile... and I had actually carved a rubber stamp in the cross pattern back at Christmas for some of the scarves I made... so... this is what happened....

So long, farewell... its time to say goodbye...
....to my hair.
I haven't had it this short in about 10 years (back when was a young thing in college!) Its so wonderful... it takes two seconds to wash and dry, and I was just so ready to have it gone.
I'm still in the process of coloring it to the right color, but I'm giving it a bit of a breather...
In case you're wondering, I chopped it off myself, because I'm always impulsive with my hair, and I generally use it to channel my emotions...
The year is fresh, big things are going to happen. And it was time for the hair to go.
Sorry I'm not sorry for the excess of self portraits...
(yummy homemade iced coffee in a recycled Starbucks cup, because its better with a straw...)
